Check your eligibility.
Applicants need an active SSM registration, a genuine Malaysian production connection and the applicable authorisations for their business and products. A Malaysian address or a marketing claim is not enough.
Sole proprietors, partnerships, companies and home-based businesses can start screening. Contract-manufactured brands need a documented manufacturer relationship and facility access for assessment.
Food and beverage, skincare, traditional medicine, health supplements, home care and baby products are among the programme categories. Discuss foreign ownership, imported inputs, repackaging, service-only activities or other categories during screening so the team can determine the applicable requirements.
Choose your certification scope.
Brand
The brand identity and business covered by the record. A brand-only certificate does not identify individually certified products or automatically extend permission to every SKU.
Products
Only the named products in the certificate. Other products, variants and future launches are outside that scope until approved.
Brand and products
The brand and an explicit list of approved products. Check both the brand identity and product list in the current register.

Five stages.
One clear record.
The application fee funds verification and audit. Approval is independent; annual onboarding follows the decision.
- 01
Screening
Start with a conversation.
Tell us about your company, brand and products. Our team reviews the initial information and discusses whether the certification process fits your business.
- 02
Application & fee
Put your business on record.
After screening, submit your formal application and supporting information. The one-time, non-refundable application fee is payable before verification and audit begin.
- 03
Verification & audit
Evidence comes before approval.
Documents and relevant licences are checked, followed by an unannounced physical audit of the production facility. The application fee covers the audit work defined in your application offer.
- 04
Approval & onboarding
A decision made independently.
An independent committee reviews the audit report. If approved, complete the agreement and first annual fee before the authorised mark artwork, plaque and digital certificate are issued.
- 05
Certification & renewal
Keep your record current.
Use the mark within your approved scope and take your place in the public register. Annual renewal includes a compliance check; changes to your products or business need review.
Ready when you are
Screening starts with a short form about your business.
Start screening
Prepare your application.
Use the legal company identity, the product names customers see in market and an authorised contact. Have the following ready for screening and the subsequent evidence review.
- Company name and active SSM registration number.
- Brand name, product category, website if available and contact details.
- Requested brand, product or combined scope, with a named product list where applicable.
- Production location and any contract-manufacturer relationship.
- Supporting origin, manufacturing and applicable compliance documents; access for the required facility audit.
After you submit.
Save the reference number returned by the formal application form. The team follows up about additional evidence, payment arrangements and review steps; submission does not start an audit automatically or grant certification.
An application may be approved, deferred or rejected according to the evidence. If you disagree with a finding, contact the team with your reference and supporting information; applicable review or re-audit arrangements are explained for your case.

|---|---|---|
| Application fee | Before verification begins | One-time, non-refundable charge for the document verification and audit work defined in the offer. Confirmed in your written application offer. |
| Annual certification fee | After approval, before issuance | Your selected Certified or Certified+ package and its agreed scope, deliverables and term. Quoted by package and approved product scope. |

Get a written offer.
Your offer confirms the amount, currency, applicable tax, due dates, package, covered products, included audit work and deliverables before payment. Read it with the certification agreement for cancellation, annual fee and re-audit conditions.
Payment does not guarantee approval, retailer acceptance, export clearance or sales results. A quotation or invoice is not a certificate.
Renewal and business changes.
Annual renewal includes a compliance check. Annual fee changes are communicated at least 60 days before renewal. Additional products or another facility assessment may require a separate quotation.
Tell the team before changing products, formulations, ownership or a production site. Follow the mark guidelines for permission, artwork and changes to certification status.
